I have seen many competent applicants shivering before their job interview and my interview advice to them is just one – be yourself. As a matter of fact, I have been taking interviews for several positions especially in the Sales Jobs and I start by simple question – “Tell me about yourself”? This is just to make the candidate relax but it is not only a mere question for comforting the prospective candidates.

The answer to this simple question can lead to numerous questions and usually the candidate ends up contradicting his earlier statements. So the basic Interview Advice is to present before the interviewer about your real self. The interviewer is smart and experienced enough to weed out the fake answers and this will surely not present you in his good books. When you fake, you tend to be always on the defense but when you tell the truth you can handle any question easily.

Unlike the Manufacturing Jobs where your skill matters, sales jobs are all about knowing your strengths and working on them. If you want to make a glowing career out of sales field then you need to be positive, you must be great at communications and you must be able to sell yourself for the job.
